Welcome
This website is designed to keep the wider community of Gloucestershire aware of all the changes currently happening to our beloved theatre. The website is being regularly updated, so keep checking for updates!
In April 2008 the theatre was taken over by two local businessmen with the intentions to restore the theatre to its former glory as a hub for the arts and culture within Gloucestershire.
Unfortunately the theatre had deteriorated into an unusable state. It had become something which was no longer at the forefront of theatre entertainment in Gloucestershire. The new owners, Mr Babu Odedra and Mr Ash Chavda have undertaken this renovation mission with the serious intent to ensure that the theatre will offer much more to the people of Gloucestershire. A wealth of different events, productions and shows will be available for the people of Gloucestershire in there own local theatre. Once functioning at full capacity it will have evolved into a multi purpose facility accessible to all Gloucestershire community groups and organizations of all sizes.
The Theatre is currently in working operation and our first show - The King's School Senior Production of Kiss Me Kate- was a great success. We look forward to their next production. For more information of our upcoming shows visit our Events page.
Currently we are working on keeping a Blog of our progress redeveloping the theatre. This should be online very soon so lookout for the chance to read the most up to date news and developments to do with the project.
The website is currently under construction, but soon we hope to have a lot more information online for those interested in the renovation of the theatre. We would like to invite you to send us any comments, advice or even memories of the theatre, which you think may aid us in the development of this project. Either email us at info@gloucestershiretheatre.org or visit our comments page - we look forward to receiving some of your feedback!
Also we would like ask all those out there that value the theatre as much as we do and would like to contribute to fulfilling this dream for the people of Gloucestershire to contact us.
For more information, contact us on the feedback page.
